Taking a day-off may seem like an option for most humans, but when you're the actual devil, it could mean a catastrophe of epic proportions. That's why Luci, the devil herself, had never taken a break from her day-job as the only angel tasked with rehabilitating souls. Luci and Cade soon realize that something sinister is at play. None of the horsemen are supposed to be on Earth, and they know that Cade's counterparts would soon join him. Finding the traitor behind their early release becomes their top priority.

As they work together to stop the wheels that have been set in motion before the apocalypse, Luci and Cade's relationship evolves from enemies to lovers. They both find solace in each other, realizing that they have a found family in the most unlikely of places.
